Is the E-Brake cable assembly supposed to route over (top) of the auto XM or under it?

Should be over the top the next crossmember back should have 2 holes in the crossmember as guides..

That's where I put it. It didn't dawn on me until I had installed the XM, that I had put the cables on top........So, good, I didn't fu.............
