How to remove and install fender emblems??

I have an 84 Silverado going in for paint. How do you remove the fender emblems "Silverado10". Also, who should I buy new ones from and are they stick on or do you have to remover the fender to install?

Bad news, a lot not all have nuts on the back so it must have been put on before the fender was put on. You can get a thin putty knife and a hammer and try to cut thru the studs holding it on. But first check and see if its got nuts on the back. Matt

I hate to hear I have to take the fender off. If I knew how the news ones installed I could just break it off.

They have plastic studs that go through the fender. They use speednuts to attach. You can reach through the hole in the fender above the inner fender to get them off.
