Disk brake question

I have a 70 C10 that I am doing a full disk brake conversion on. I have already done the back, that was easy. I bought 72 spindles and all the steering parts but it is a 5x5 lug and I need a 5x4and 3/4 lug. Somebody told me that you can buy 70 chevelle rotor and stock outer bearing and an A13 inner bearing and It will fit on the 70 C10 spindle. The only catch is you have to make a bracket to hold the caliper. Has anybody every tried it?
