Nothing but washed it...
First pic is what I'm looking at while being frustrated about now being able to work on it... even considering letting it go.... REALLY frustrated
Then, the second pic is why I DON'T want to sell it.... (she just turned 1) Just wanted to vent a sec in public and I like pics too......

Re: Nothing but washed it...
Selling a truck out of frustration is always a regretful thing.

Re: Nothing but washed it...
Keep it. Drive it once in a while and do basic maintaining. Later down the road you'll have more time. Things change. I'll tell you what. I have 3 boys ( 7yrs, 5yrs, 4 yrs). They take a lot of time. Of course that's a choice. I love spending time with them, teaching them and watching them grow. And between them, work, normal household stuff, and the thought of going back to school to further the career my time to work on our truck is severely limited. But no way I'm getting rid of it. It'll just take longer to become what I want.

Re: Nothing but washed it...
Take it from a "Daddy's Girl" who inherited her Daddy's truck when he passed away.....do what you can to hold onto it. If she's anything like I was....those times spent in Daddy's truck will be some of her favorite memories

Re: Nothing but washed it...
My daughters (4 & 6) want me to take them everywhere in my truck. My son (2) loves to just sit and pretend to drive. The whole reason I own my truck is growing up riding in my Dad's old 47'. As you know it is a love affair of a lifetime and you should pass it to your children. I say be patient and keep it, you won't regret it.

Re: Nothing but washed it...
I had a nice stock '55 1st series that didn't get driven much, but every year we would go out to the country and cut a Christmas tree in it. It was a nice little tradition. Dang, I wish I woulda kept that truck.

Re: Nothing but washed it...
This thread is bringing a tear to my eye. Your truck doesn't need to be worked on right this minute, so hang on to it. It's like that girl in the cab, it just needs you to love it, and the truck can wait. Your girl can't.
