Had my truck custom painted last night

Not exactly what I was wanting. They got a dozen of so cars and trucks, a couple houses, a fence and the car wash down the road.

Re: Had my truck custom painted last night

Holy mother fkrs,,, I cant believe they did this just for fun. If you catch them I guarantee you they are minors and if you touch them you are the one that is going to have problems. I would not leave that truck out in the open the way you have it on the side of the street. I know here in miami someone would snatch it up.

Re: Had my truck custom painted last night

Here is some texas law you can use

Texas Penal Code ch. 9
SUBCHAPTER D. PROTECTION OF PROPERTY

Sec. 9.41. PROTECTION OF ONE'S OWN PROPERTY. (a) A person in lawful possession of land or tangible, movable property is justified in using force against another when and to the degree the actor reasonably believes the force is immediately necessary to prevent or terminate the other's trespass on the land or unlawful interference with the property.

(b) A person unlawfully dispossessed of land or tangible, movable property by another is justified in using force against the other when and to the degree the actor reasonably believes the force is immediately necessary to reenter the land or recover the property if the actor uses the force immediately or in fresh pursuit after the dispossession and:

(1) the actor reasonably believes the other had no claim of right when he dispossessed the actor; or

(2) the other accomplished the dispossession by using force, threat, or fraud against the actor.

Acts 1973, 63rd Leg., p. 883, ch. 399, Sec. 1, eff. Jan. 1, 1974. Amended by Acts 1993, 73rd Leg., ch. 900, Sec. 1.01, eff. Sept. 1, 1994.

Re: Had my truck custom painted last night

If you catch them in the act you can use a reasonable amount force ( a good old fashion tackle- and make it a good one) to stop there actions. But do whats safe bro!

Re: Had my truck custom painted last night

I can't believe this...you've gotta be about ready to explode!!!! Keep your family and yourself safe. After your explanation of what the letters meant, I'd be worried about the fact that they didn't repaeat thier stupid gang name, but they repeated the "everybody kills" part. An entire neighborhood watch sounds like a great idea!!! I think retalitation, although it's exactly what I would feel like doing, is only going to escalate this stuff. Unfortunately, it probablly is minors, and even if you caught them, the police would prbably just slap their hand and send them on their way. because they can't affod to fight it... That's the excuse they give around here.

Sorry you're going through this...and good luck!!!

Re: Had my truck custom painted last night

Well, I spent the day today running around like a damn chicken with it's head cut off. Dealt with police, insurance people, got a storage building and took both my 67 and 71 trucks there. The Camaro will leave tomorrow and go to a friends shop for safekeeping. My wife is scared, my kids are freaked out and I'm F'ing PISSED. Not really the way I wanted to spend a Thursday which is also my 10th wedding anniversary. This time it was just meant for me since I'm the only one with any damage. I guess they wanted to see the handy work they did the first time and were mad that it was just about gone. This time I can't scrub it off. I just hate the helpless feeling that this has brought on. I'd like to load up and go looking for someone but what then? Bring myself to their level? Add fuel to the fire and then they do a driveby on my house? Looks like I'll be having sleepless nights while I watch over my property.

I had to check your location ratrod. I saw that tagging & automatically assumed that you were in Winnipeg. Sorry to hear about the graffiti & I hope you get it cleaned off easy.

Re: Had my truck custom painted last night

I'll let you in on a little secret that I learned. Take a can of spray paint of the same color and spray it on a paper towel. Rub this on the affected area(s) until the spray paint is almost gone. Follow this up by pouring paint thinner on another paper towel and lightly wiping the area again. That's right. Spray paint removes spray paint. Learned that one at the Houston Auto Show. Tried it myself (not on my truck though) and it works like a charm. Just make sure to wash off the paint thinner after you remove the graffiti.

Re: Had my truck custom painted last night

Sorry about that...hopefully your flat paint will make that an easier fix?

Just make sure before you call your insurance, to decide if it's worth it. I had some things taken out of an unlocked car once....called to check and see if it was covered and it wasn't because of it being unlocked. However, Allstate decided to write it up as a claim even though I did not ask for one and it was not allowed and it went in under my homeowner's policy for theft. When we sold that house and moved, we couldn't get homeowners through allstate any more because of that one non-claim. They found the kids and found them guilty but I never saw a penny even though they had taken about $1000 worth of tools and CD's
