Ac hoses
So tuesday i went out to a local junkyard to take a look at how an ac sytem comes together.. I noticed the ac hoses were actually installed with hose clamps with some sort of stop so you clamp it exactly wher it needs to go.. my question is .. can i just buy like 20ft of hose, i mean do they sel it by the foot? any ideas are welcome

Re: Ac hoses
Yes, you can buy the hose by the foot. Places like vintage air, old air products, ect should have everything you need. The clamps work ok, but sometimes leak. I would buy all crimp on ends, pre assemble it yourself, then have a hose shop crimp them.

Re: Ac hoses
It looks like heater hose, but it ain't!
Back in the day, I worked at an ESSO station and we installed Mark IV add-on units. Hose came in a bulk quantity, cut to fit.
