Re: Ebay H4s

Do those just plug right in or do you need to add some wiring for more power to them.

Re: Ebay H4s

They will plug right in, but i would recomment the relay upgrade to ensure the life of your switch. Pics coming soon, im gunna wax up the truck first it's embarasingly dirty. just search 6024 in that guy's store to find em. they are like $11 bin, with huge shipping but it's still cheap.

Re: Ebay H4s

Nope not halo ones, just plain old cheap Chinese junk, but for the price you cant beat them, and i think they will light up the road alot better than sealed beams.

and the long awaited on truck pics

Re: Ebay H4s

I have a relay in there but I did test them without a relay. I have quite a few relays i could send out for the shipping and packing costs.(Please tell me if i cannot say this because i am not a paying member i will take it down) They are off of a late 80's Chrysler product in the junkyard i cant remember what, it's probably cheaper for you guys to just go down to your local yard and find some, i will take a pic later or tomorrow if i can, and they are located on the drivers side front of the engine compartment.

Re: Ebay H4s

i did the same upgrade. i wouldn't say the light output is much better, but it's a different color. yes i used relays. the lenses will turn yellowish in a few months, and you may burn out a cheap bulb like i did. also to install mine i had to modify the headlight buckets because the back of the light is bigger. but i still say they look 5 times better.

Yeh i don't expect these bulbs to last all too long. But i do think the light output is MUCH better than before, as well as a better color. These fit without modification to the buckets for me. They were pretty close to the same size as the 6024's. I have to agree that they look much better.

And the long awaited night time pics.... yes i know they are bad pics I'm not a photographer

That is the low beams, never thought to get a pic of the highs although i did test em and they are bright.

Re: Ebay H4s

i bought my truck, and replaced the headlights without ever experiencing the old ones. simple sealed beam's from oreilys. i 1st noticed a difference in light output when i added relays. so i had good lights in the 1st place. then i switched to the diamond cut headlights, and they didn't increase light output that much.

Re: Ebay H4s

Firedog he wanted to stay away from the blue & bought these. Plus he done away with the turn signals as these have the turn signals inside the headlights. Might be hard to see after resizing the pic.

Re: Ebay H4s

these bulbs, oddly, as cheap as they are don't seem to project that blue of a light surprisingly which is great it's a nice crisp white light. I was fully expecting to need new bulbs, but i think I'll keep em for a while they do the job just fine.
