Re: wood paneling on side of blazer

I got mine from Mar-K and I think they have the best quality. The woodgrain matches pretty well compared to the original stock.

Curious about how mar-k looks next to nos pieces. I've got nos I'd like to use except the k5 specific pieces and wonder how well they'd match side by side.

I made an exhausting attempt to restore my originals. First, I stripped the wood veneer & black paint off, and then I stripped the anodizing using oven cleaner. Everything came off pretty easily for me. The dent removal process is where I eventually gave in and decided it wasn't worth it so I ordered a new set from Mar-K. I made more new dents than I did removing them That's skill set above my expertise, but hey if you don't try you'll never know what you're capable of. Because I had already removed the woodgrain I couldn't see the difference with them side by side, but I did have old pics to reference.

Truck and Car shop in Orange, CA sells the trim packages. If you're close by, you could save some money on shipping! They've got a ton of stuff there.

See any CST blazer pic - lower trim is wood grain.

Re: wood paneling on side of blazer

Copy that. Wood paneling to me brings country squires to mind. Or suburban estate models. I wasn't thinking about the trim. Thanks
