Upholstery
I am thinking about buying a set of corvette buckets that have some bad places in the leather. Anyone have an idea of how much recovering these would be? I found replacement leather covers, but they are $650 which seems a little high to me. I guess I am just looking for someone with upholstery experience. Thanx

You might consider doing the recovering yourself. I recently did front and rear on my 66 Impala and had great results. I never did this work before either. Saved mucho $$$ and I have the satisfaction of knowing I did them myself.

Get the seats and take them to a local shop. Most shops I've been to will do the work for $75-$100 each seat and you pay for the fabric.

The upholstery guy I use repairs leather damage, I don't know how. Last time I was there he was fixing a seat in a BMW damaged by a mechanic at the dealership who thought you could sit in the seat with a screwdriver in your back pocket. You can, but then you go to the upholstery guy.
