Kentucky Gathering????
Josh (Blue_71) was/is trying to set up a get-together in the Louisville area for members from ---where ever---for the day. I live about 35 miles east of Louisville (Shelbyville) and would be willing to host the gathering (could do a cookout--bergers & dogs) or we could all go up to the Buffalo Crossing restaurant (2 minutes from here) and dine on the wild things. Date and time is somewhat open---as my only know commitment is 8-10/11. WE could do this in conjunction with the street rod nationals which is Aug3,4,5. There will be millions of them little street rod buggers all over Louisville.
IF INTERESTED, ATTACH YOUR RESPONSE TO THIS THREAD WITH YOUR PREFERRED DATE. I will firm up the date and time ASAP. Let's see how many trucks we can park on my 5 acres!!! HUCK |

I would be interested, but my best date would be in mid August. I have move my stuff to my new apartment in lexington, plus my roommate, plus some friends of mine move all the 1st week of August, plus attempt to go to the national with my dad, plus throw a huge keg party with lots of hot chicks at my new apartment. School starts at the end of august, so inbetween that time would be good for me.

Woody,
The only cover charge is having a girl-to-guy ratio above 3:1

I would be intrested but can't say for sure that I can make it. I am on call 7-24. I can let you know the day before. I will try to set it up to swap my 700 R4 at the same time. It will be done by a buddie of mine that lives in Louisville and works for Blue Lick Transmission. I am not much on keg beer but, if I can talk the wife into driving, I will have a few bottles on ice in case.

I'll be in Louisville for the Street Rod Natls so that would be convenient for me but not for others.

I forgot to ask. There won,t be anybody there with a digital camera, thats going to take pitchers of my unfinished truck.LOL I would rather wait till it is finished. The green bed clashes with the blue truck.LOL Do my best to be there whenever you have it.

And no, I don't have a Nikon 775 Digi camera already packed in my suitcase....with a fully charged battery and 120mb memory card noooo.... I'm flying into Cinncinnati Thursday night and driving down to Lex. be there through Saturday... Wild

The reason that I say that is, I have the trim off the bed . I have new buckets ready to install, the old ones are embarrassing, I have sand marks checking for bondo, (and found plenty)the list goes on and on.
This will be the last 700R4 swap. Then I am ready to get started on the rest. I should have been finished already. Like Low69CST said, At least It is road ready. O-well looking forward to the trip. Herbie

Yo Josh, Aug 2nd is a Friday---It's Ok with me but some guys have jobs and stuff. Saturday the 3rd might be better. Guys can come to town---see all the street rods and then see the really neat trucks right here!! There will be some who can't make it because of the street rod nationals--but some who will be able to combine the two which will be neat. Let me know and I will put the word out, directions, etc.
