Is everybody still using POR or is there anything out there new that will hold up as well. Really can't afford to get everything powdercoated.

POR is still the best I've used. A good two-part epoxy is a close second, but you'll need a gun, compressor, and the components add up quickly.
I wound up powder-coating everything... the batch of "all brackets and pulleys and everything I could find" was $300, the frame and control arms and suspension (even discs and drums) was $900. Sounds like a lot but POR-15 isn't exactly cheap either when you're using it by the gallon.
