My LS swap
Just finished up my LS swap - big difference than the inline 6 that used to power my truck.

Re: My LS swap
Great looking truck. Is the radiator from the vehicle you got engine from? I'm pulling a 5.3 from a 2001 Tahoe and I didn't think i could use the radiator but the one in your picture looks like it. Do I just have to modify the core support to make it work?

Re: My LS swap
Nice job on the swap. Do you have any info on how to change out the fuse box to one of these late model ones? I've seen a couple of these in our trucks and think it would be a great upgrade for them.

Re: My LS swap
I'm still running my original fuse box, I believe the late model box unde te hood is just giving power to the computer/ignition.

Re: My LS swap
Quote:
I can't take credit for the swap, I have a buddy that owns a shop - Van Tumblin @ Tumblin Automotive, here in Laurens. He's a Ford guy and does alot modern engine swaps into older Broncos, but he did my truck for me and did an excellent job. So, for him, I would say it wasn't too difficult - they used my existing 6 cyl mounts and just fabbed up some additional components to make them work, had to order a new set of headers as the stock exhaust wouldn't clear, and then they did all the wiring - included fabbing up that box that holds the panel.

Re: My LS swap
Good looking install. What did you use to put the battery on the driver's side?

Re: My LS swap
They used my stock battery bracket and just transferred to the drivers side - they modified it some, but not sure what they did.

Great job on the install. Like others have said, it looks like it was born that way.

Very nice, I wondered how long it would take to replace the inline.
