AC after big block swap

I want to get the air conditioning working again, can I change the side the compressor would normally go on to fit the AC brackets on the bbc engine?
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

You can place the compressor on which ever side you want if you have the bracket and the right length hoses. Ive seen the compressors on the drivers side in passenger cars. In the trucks, they were placed on the passenger side... It doesnt matter which side you place them on though.

Thanks Tom, I haven't been very successful in finding any pic's of BBC Blazers with the AC actually working to see any set ups.

Thanks again

You've done a major mod by swapping in the big block which now mandates custom fitting everything else.

Find some factory A/C brackets for that year big block, mount the compressor where you need to and have a set of hoses made up, easiest way to go.
