Front clip help.

So I know that it's late here on the east coast but I got to thinking about my truck, (still need gas tank and working on saving up to getting a wiring harness from painless) but I was fishing at my friend's (main mechanics) property today and found out that in addition to the 69 shortened 64 burb and 2 64 long beds (one project and one parts truck) he has what I think is a 69 or 70 GMC 3500 frame can and front clip. I know that it has the gauges that I need for my truck but I was wondering if the front clip from this truck would bolt onto my 69 C10 cab since my front clip it completely roached. I know that it is dented but it isn't Rusty and I can pull dents. I am pretty sure that my friends will let me work around there shop to pay it off (I love bartering) but before I ask I want to make sure that it is going to bolt up. Any and all help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Stephen

Also while I'm thinking about it, I found this stuff called flitz a while ago when looking for something to polish brass with and got to reading the back of it, come to find out that it works on paint. So I tested it on a dead spot in the paint on my truck and that spot of paint looks like new now. Not sponsored by flitz, but I thought that it was really amazing to see a metal polish work so well on paint. I'll get pictures of the results tomorrow and will try to get a good picture of his GMC cab and frame as soon as I can.

Re: Front clip help.

The GMC front clip would work on your truck as long as you want it to be a GMC. The fenders are different. But if you get a 67-68 rad support, hood, grill and misc pieces you could have a faux 68 chevy.

Thanks, and I don't mind the extra headlights and big chrome GMC on the front. Just means it will look better in my opinion. The beauty of a truck is in the eye of its owner or however that old saying goes.

Re: Front clip help.

As long as you get the core[radiator] support you will be a direct bolt on. I'm sure you won't be the first Chevy truck to have a four eyed front or vice versa

I agree with hugger. You won't be the first or the last to do it. Both front ends look great

Re: Front clip help.

You will require a GMC tailgate and horn button to make the changeover complete.

Re: Front clip help.

Don't forget the front bumper.
And you might want the headlite harness.
