Good night under truck... Then lots of smoke!!

I was almost done putting in my new torque converter had it all in and everything but drivshaft up. then i decided i wqas going to be an ass and let the neighborhood hear my open headers on the BB at 11 oclock at night.... serves me right i guess but i go to start the thing and all i get is a billowing cloud of smoke from underhood. now i dont mess around when it comes to smoke parents just lost their garage and house 4 monthes ago from fire that started in garage. now i am working on this in neighbors garage. so i jumped out and lost my shoe in process and stub my toe on my muffler laying on the ground. get up there and no fire thank god. but the wire going from fuse box to HEI is melted. upon inspection i find out i pinched the wire between engine and tranny now whenever i find the guy that put the HEI in and made it a friggin rats nest with wires 10 ft too long tonight sucked

tommarows agenda: rewire HEI and get the danged thing back on the road
