where do you put the jack stands......
next couple weeks im gonna be swapping my 3:08 rear with a guy who has a 4:10 rear. do you guys use the big huge jackstands under the frame or what ?

Jack stands under the frame but have truck high enough to drop rearend out, and put smaller jack stands under the trailing arms, It is coil spring???

i put up the frame rails on stands// i let the brake drums on a couple of pieces of 2X6 then just let the trailing arms fall to ground when i cut the ubolts// while your at it it's a great time to change the trailing arm bushings and the panhard bar bushings

Put the jackstands infront of the rear end though You can almost put the up towards the trailing arm crossmemeber on the flat part of the chassis and not have to worry about the stability - but always shake it before getting under it!!!

I leave wheels off you don't have to jack up as high. Set floor jack under punkin and roll out. Just my 2 cents........Rick
