This was the main source of oil leakage from my old SM420. It leaked everywhere, don't get me wrong, but you are looking at what you think you are looking at. The PO left part of the gasket on the cover and bolted it back down. I think I have lost all faith in humanity after this....

That's nothing. How many times have we seen front rotors worn clear through the .25" or so of metal and pretty far into the vanes?

How hard can it be to notice you've worn through the pad, pad's backing, a third of the rotor, and probably a good bit of the caliper piston?

I seem to recall a friend did this on his '76 3/4 ton Chevy 4x4 back in the day. First time I saw it.
