Talking 20" Rallys (Round Two)

OK, I finally have the mold pricing and price per piece close to nailed down. The only thing I an having issues with is the fact that I couldnt get anyone in the US to build these at a decent price. If I had them built here, you would be cheaper to buy some nice aluminum wheels instead. My question is, If I go ahead and have them built, OVERSEAS, will that affect the amount of people willing to buy them enough to make it not worth the time, efort, and monetary input for me to proceed? Need honest feedback opinions here fellas. Im looking at sinking a bunch of money in these and dont want a bunch of wheels that wont sell because they were made in another country.

X2. It a sad fact but not much is made in the states anymore. I am more concerned with quality and price.

Re: 20" Rallys (Round Two)

Forgot to mention in the original post. These will be an aluminum version. This would be done to save weight and cost but would look like this. The outer ring would be polished or diamond cut to replicate the trim ring. Would also accept factory caps.

If you used 88-98 center caps were the plastic lugnuts hold the centers on, it might save some money

Re: 20" Rallys (Round Two)

It's an ironic relationship between "big" business that won't turn on the lights for less than 185% profit and the "little" consumer that has to buy off shore to try and keep a nickel in his pocket.
I'm not in the market for these, but my opinion is that if you want 20" rallies and you find 20" rallies, you're gonna buy them whether they're made in Kentucky or Korea.

I think 20" rallys or 20" steelies would go over good no matter were there made as long as the quality is good.

I know about these. They are car rallys and I cant stand the look on a truck. IMHO. I would never put car Rallys on a truck but to each his own I guess. I am starting with the 5 lug and then will get to the 6 lug as well. Just taking lots of time.
Dont know if these will have a trim ring or a diamond cut lip to simulate the ring. Seems like trim rings snapping on an alloy wheel will really mess them up.

Re: 20" Rallys (Round Two)

I would personally have my Laywer check copyrights and patents first off then I would make sure I do not have to buy the GM Restoration Lisc. Because China don't care about stuff like this and then the container hits the port here in the states and guess what your container of pre paid wheels no longer belong to you. Just something to think about.

Hey to each his own. My friend is running car rallies and he likes them. But form me it has to be truck rallies. It seems that the older crowd is stuck on car rallies cause thats what they grew up with, at least with the people that I know thats how it is.

Your truck is for sale! You must not like it too much! LOL!!

Let me clarify, the car Rallys in a small diameter look fine to me. Car Rallys in 20" not so much!
