oil bath on edelbrock
ok....so i have the original oil bath cleaner for my 327 laying around and was thinking of installing it on top of my edelbrock. what do you guys think? pros and cons? i had always heard that the oil filters better in dusty conditions (which this truck sees a lot). would there be a performance difference from the paper? it would require some kind of adapter since the base is smaller than the top of the carb. idea?

It could be done but if the oil baths were better they'd probably still be using them. I wouldn't want to deal with the mess. I have a K&N style filter on mine (from Summit) that is the best of both worlds. It's a pleated paper style filter that you treat with a special oil to help trap more dirt. Just a thought.
