heres the truck straight out of the booth...
grill had some rust on it, so i just had them sand it and paint it just to see if it would look right..
i cant really decide if i like or hate the grill this color..
since it would be cheaper for me to paint the grill instead of replacing it for a chrome one. does anyone have any color recomendations?

i think it looks good, but with chrome or aluminum headlight bezels, it would just set it off that much more, truck looks good, love these blazer/jimmy's

Paint looks good overall. The grill I could take or leave. Under the circumstances you made the right choice. Live with it awhile, it might grow on you.

I'm in the same boat with my grill.. I have everything to just paint it flat black like the rest of the truck, but I really want a chrome front end.. Just don't want to spend the $700 for it...

Truck looks nice..

If you really want chrome... spend the money. It will make a huge difference in appearance. If money is tight, wait. or sell the a painted piece to recoup some of your expense.

tantrumpipeline, you dont think the truck would look weird with just the headlight bezels being chrome? i think it would almost make the truck look like its wearing glasses or something haha

hard to say really, the bezels on the 67-68 chev grilles are good with the painted grille, but they also have accents in the center and are half the size, be worth trying as you will need bezels to go with a new chrome grille anyway

My 2c... I don't care for the color matched grill. I'd go black or dk grey till you can afford a chrome one.

I've kind of decided I'm not a fan of the color match either.. But I was going to try and just get the chrome mouldings that surround the grill and see if that looks any better.. Maybe it will tie in the chrome bumper??
I'll be sure to post photos so you guys can let me know what you think

Take a look at Cap'n Hook's Jimmy. It looks pretty sharp imo.

Paint looks good but if I were going to redo it I would save up the cash for the chrome grille as posted above. If I had to go with paint I would say either go white or black but neither would look as good as the chrome/polished front end.

Man I wish you were closer I have the 71 grill off of mine laying around that is clean. I would go the crome route as well as that is what seperates us from the Chevy folks. Love the color though
