center ac vent

Does anyone know how the center ac vent on the dash comes out?

The center vent has 2 bolts that hold it in. They are screwed in from the back of the dash into threaded holes in the back of the vent itself. Remove the cardboard glove box to gain access. The right one can be removed with little difficulty, the left is more of a pain, but you can do it with an end wrench.

The new vent just goes back in reverse order. Don't forget the foam gasket that goes around it when you install. It's a cheap fix, and the new chrome really improves the look of the dash as well. Good luck.
