Talking Drove my truck to work today!!!!

Title may seem like no big deal but look in my sig and consider it's been almost 3 years since I drove her to work and you'll understand my excitement!! Yippeee!!! I made sure my insurance covered towing and took my checkbook before I struck out though, since I did the work. LOL! She made the 35 mile journey with ease, though I think I need my wheels/tires balanced. Hopefully the trip home will be equally uneventful. Wish me luck!

Hopefully, I'll have some pics of her this weekend and maybe some video by Christmas!

Congrats. Must be nice to get the thing running on your own and feeling that pride. Good luck with the drive home.

Congratulations. Two weeks ago my truck rolled out of my dad's garage after being on stands for 3 months, and I thought I was in a dream. I had the front-end aligned (the shop praised me for making such a good guess with the shims and tie rod sleeves), and so far I haven't had any problems with the front-end, back-end, transmission, or engine!

It's a good feeling. It drives like a car! That new sway bar makes a world of difference, and all of the noises are gone!

Have fun.

Oh sh*t, the noises are to be gone? The ride should be better? haha, j/k

I think for every noise I killed, 2 popped up in its place. My ride is no better (sway bar's not on yet and same old shocks and springs) but the ole girl stops like she hit arrestor cables. Well . . . relatively speaking.

I'm just glad smoke doesn't billow out the pipes and that she "whoa's" when I tell her to. Maybe with a 700r4, some dynamat, and super turbos, the wife won't be TOTALLY ashamed to ride in her. If she still is, oh well! Ya know I plan doing that stuff anyhow!

Now to get rid of that miss that started Saturday.

That's great to be able to strut her around town. Your wife will come around, mine calls my truck the kid rock mobile.
No respect...

Good Job. Bet it felt good to drive her to work.

I may take mine for a 100 mile round trip on Monday. This will be the longest trip I have taken , since I drove her home almost two years ago, and rebuilt almost everything.

Its funny how you know that everything has been replaced , gone over, or adjusted as neccessary, but a person still never completely trusts their own work.

Hope mine runs as well as yours did.
