I think I am going to sell my truck.

Just wondering about how much the thing would be worth. Need some sort of an idea of what to ask. It was a 3 year restoration and got all new rust repair parts including... both rockers, front floors, rear floor sections, cab corners, kick panels, 2 cab supports, front fenders, radiator support and doors. 350 taken .030 over, vortec heads, flat tops, 218@.050 duration, RPM Air Gap intake, Hedman chevelle headers, 1407 Edelbrock carb. 700R4 trans with 2,200 RPM stall, and shift kit. 3.73 posi rear end with new clutches. 5.5" front drop, 6" rear drop. Gas tank below bed behind diff. 20" Eagle wheels with Bridgestone Pole Position S-03's(top end Bridgestone) tires. Nitro Drop shocks, many new suspension components. Extremely straight with no dings or scratches. Interior is all covered in light grey cloth with Bonneville bucket seats, custom console with B&M Megashifter, factory tach. 1pc window conversion, new windshield. Shaved tailgate handle and gas filler. Spray in bed liner with gas fill inside the box. Checkmate Fiberglass tonneau cover. The restoration has 13,6** miles on it. Many trophy's too. 15.5 miles to the gallon at 65 on the highway. Should run mid to upper 14's in the 1/4 mile. Rides good considering the 30/35 series tires and the drop (old people are even impressed). Intense Blue Pearlcoat paint. Billet Phantom grille. Tons of stuff done and I always get compliments on it. Just looking to get a newer truck to customize.

I'll get loading some digi pics as I find them. If there is any particular areas to get I can take some more.

I have over $20k into it. I couldn't think of under $10k. I was thinking of starting at $15,000 range.

set the price that you would fell good about and see what happens,i just would't let wanting something else determine your bottom line. most of the time you regret it later.set the pricr and wait for the right buyer. thats how i always aproched my projects.(still have regrets)

He drove this truck to St. Paul last summer for a show. It is extremely well done. The meticulous attention to detail is immediately evident. This is no cobble job, by any means. I am surprised he is willing to sell it also, but that is how I see a lot of people do things. Build it, use it for a while, and sell to start over. Beautiful truck, Dan. I wish you the best of luck on selling it.

I could see you getting good $ money for it. It's had a lot of the custom mods already done to it that a lot of guys are looking for. The market may be right for you! Good luck, your truck has a lot going for it.

I've never ripped a board member's ride, at least not in a serious manner. I was offering constructive comments on what is obviously a well built project, and how I perceive the current market for 67-72 trucks. I would not consider buying it because it's not my style, I prefer them stock.

And while it's not my style either, I must say that puppy is super sharp, and I don't think I would go much lower than the $15,000 you want.

i know i know cpne. i was just messing around. i know youve never seriously done it. i just think its funny. maybe my perception of you is wrong. maybe some of us have imagined you as a person who sits around and cries when he sees a all out custom 67-72.

i must be wrong. i like you. plus my trucks are stock height(for now) so im think im a little bit on your good side

sorry for stealing your thread man. .nice truck! i loveit

Thats the unfortunate thing, after all the time and $$, you just never brake even. I saw start at $15,000.00 sound like its worth it. Good Luck

Very nice looking truck ... Whoever gets it bought for 15k will be getting a great deal ...as you said you have over 20k in it ... I have always said it is better to buy a finished truck than to try to restore my own because I can save money .... If it was my truck I would start it out at 20k , you can always come down , never know there is a big wallet out there somewhere who doesn't like to work on trucks ....just a thought ... jyd

Start at $15,000 to get more possible buyers, less people lose interest also. I just want to sell it so I can get started finding the next project. I'd might possibly take a 96+ 2WD chevy/gmc on trade also.

you like the 96+ because of the vortecs? they drive a lot better than the earlier ones of this body style. ive driven my dads 89 and my moms 97 and the 97 is so much better

I want the 96 because of vortec. I want a 2wd extended cab with the 5.7 only. I plan on shaving, bagging, body dropping, do a 20/22 combo, big stereo and all that crap. For what I all want to do, it wouldn't pay to redo the 72. I would need to short box it, shave it, redo all the suspension. Then I still wouldn't have fuel injection, ex-cab and power windows, locks and so on. I can get into a wrecked one pretty cheap and go from there. Spread the word.
