Oil Press gauge ?
I was wondering what the upper PSI limit is on a stock oil pressure gauge? My new engine is running a hv/hp pump. I think I might have to go with aftermarket gauge for this one. Any info would be great.
Thanks 70 CST 4X4

Oil pressure guages
GM made both 60# & 80# gauges.
I think all the pick ups came with 60# gauges. Big trucks came with the 80# gauges. I put an 80# gauge in my truck. They look the same but are calibrated different. The gauges are labeled 60 & 80 #'s. I have a 427 In my swb stepside 4 X 4. I maybe able to find a part # for the 80# gauge for you. The part #'s are on the gauges if I remember correctly. Rick |

Cool. Thanks Rick and Rod. The next thing I need to do is to locate an 80lb oil gauge for sale. If you have one let me know.
Thanks for the info and the picture! Now I have hope that I might not have to add aftermarket gauges and stick with just the cluster! that would be nice. Going to post a wtb on parts board.
