more 4X4 spring help guys !!

OK we all know what happend with the 57" springs well here is what it looks like with the 52" spring sitting on it.

***Note***

the springs are only attatched to the fram and hanging loose. No weight on it at all... is this what it should look like?

That looks much better, when you get it on the ground with the vehicle weight on it it will be just right.

OK lets shed a little more lite on this subject. here is more infoon the truck and my plans.


frame #'s, CKE142Z134095. according to pink it is a 1972. I am planing on a dana 60 front and a 14 bolt gm in the rear. stock 350/350/205 set up. everything else stock no major mods.

blazerman mentioned something i didnt even thin k about, once you get weight on that i bet it'll be stright up and down like mine is (im going on a limb and assuming my mutt truck is correct )

When I added the add-a-leaf to the rear pack and had the axle loose and truck in the air that's what mine looked like.

1986 K5, 350/465/208 Dana 60/14 bolt from a cucv 36" Super Swampers TSL/SX
1983 K20 w/ CUCV axles, 350/700R4/208 sitting on 37" Goodyears
1986 M1031 6.2 diesel, TH400/NP205 locker in the rear and a LS in the front, all stock for now.....
1986 K30, 350/400/205 dana 60 and 14 bolt. I kept the drivetrain. Body/bad and chassis are gone.
1981 K30, 350/465/205 dana 60 and dually 14 bolt. Has a G80, and a flat bed. Going to replace the flat bed.

1985 K20, 350/400/208 10 bolt and SF 14 bolt. I wonder where I can find some 1 tons. Hmmmmm

I think you will be just fine. Here is a pic of how my stock springs were with the truck on blocks and with the axle attached but the wheels off. You'll be fine.

Hindsite is always so clear, isn't it?? Ya shoulda posted these pics before ya switched. Looks perfect now! Are those the springs you returned?? They look matched to the frame. Sometimes friends can be such a pain in the butt! Move on to the next step!!
