Need Pics

Does anyone have any pics of the original factory 64-66 engine compartments? I want to paint everything on my 64 project exactly as it was from the factory (as far as colors go). Any info is much appreciated.

Re: Need Pics

I don't have a pic, but the firewall is body color, the inner fenders, radiator support, and misc pcs attached to it are satin black. I'm not sure about the underside of the hood though. I know there are a ton of pics there, but you might look in the '60-'66 picture thread in the sticky section.

These are from a 66 and look to be "factory fresh".

Re: Need Pics

there is some variations on fire wall colors from 1964-66 assembled at different plants.western built trucks seem to have the firewall painted body color.trucks built in eastern factories from my experience are a mixed lot.1964-65 trucks wether tutone or solid color had the firewall painted fawn like the interior.1966 trucks that were tutone had a fawn firewall.1966 solid color trucks had firewall painted body color.i have owned several original trucks and these seem to be the variables.

This is the reason i am asking. I know there were some different variations. My truck came from Missouri. I plan to put it back as original if i can find this info. Thanks for the help guys.

Re: Need Pics

My 65 has fawn firewall and engine, black inner fenders, air cleaner, heater and under the hood.

Here:

Only thing I did was shoot the valve covers (which needs re-done a little nicer)
