Gearing in my HO52
Hey ya'll i have a couple questions and i hope you someone can help me.I think i remember reading somewhere that all of the ho52's came with 4.11,4.56,or 5.13 gearing. Is this true?I found a formula in a magazine to figure out your gearing and after i did the math i came up with 5.13 gearing?Im running a 383 with a 4 speed on 33in tires,im doing 65mph at 3500 rpm.Does 5.13's sound right? Is there any numbers i can look up to find out for sure without pulling off the cover?I heard its a pain to seal the cover. If i do have these gears how common are they?Any help with any of this will be greatly appreciate. Thanks guys....keep truckin'!

Go to www.randysringandpinion.com, and use the calculators. You need to measure your tire size (circumference) with a tape measure, and your top tranny gear should be 1:1
