Nicely done 72 K20 "Crew Cab" on Evilbay
I thought they did a nice job. The "crew" part is from a cut suburban. Way better than cutting and extending a regular cab IMHO.
(not mine either; no relation): http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=4631982693 Personally I'm not much for mod'd trucks, but this one ain't bad .....

Re: Nicely done 72 K20 "Crew Cab" on Evilbay
They build them bad in OR. I guy was building a very similar truck in same area a few yrs ago. I'm not sure if it is same truck and same owner. Some of the style of this truck does not fit what I remember the owner was headed for. If I remember he was in R&D/owner in Camper and RV business which is big time out west. He actually was a board member back when.

Re: Nicely done 72 K20 "Crew Cab" on Evilbay
I like it. Way too much truck for my needs, but I keep playing with the idea of doing an extra cab with smaller doors like the newer trucks. I have done a few crappy photoshops, and it's a tempting concept.

Re: Nicely done 72 K20 "Crew Cab" on Evilbay
Nice A$$ truck! I looked at it a few days ago but never read what it had to say. I just thought it was a four door but after reading about it it turns out to only appear to be a four door but it is not. They sure went to alot of work for looks. It even looks like they put in a door jamb gap for the rear door edge! I am not to fond of the roof line but I would clean out a spot in my shop in a heart beat.

That truck was sold on e-bay back in 99 too, it has gotten a lift and the wheel/tire combo is new too.

Re: Nicely done 72 K20 "Crew Cab" on Evilbay
I sort of noticed the roof line, but it didn't stick out that much until I looked that the Calssic Trucks article. Now I notice it a lot. I still like it, but your right about the roof line.
I need to redo a photochop of my truck with rear doors. I was thinking of a much smaller rear door though, like maybe a foot shorter and then trim the bed to fit the long bed frame. |

Re: Nicely done 72 K20 "Crew Cab" on Evilbay
There was a different one a couple years back that the guy actually blended the interior from new and old. It had the intrument cluster from a new truck and the glove box from the 72. All 4 doors worked as well and I think it had a Vette motor or drivetrain too.
