Need Help To Find A Stepside picture
Can anyone help me find a pic of a 67-72 stepside with the spare tire mounted on the outside of the box?

Here is a stock setup, at least for the spare and it'll still have it when she goes back together.

Hey Solver: 235/75/15 tires, 1975 Chevy truck front end, and diff out of a 72. PO said they were very easy install w/minimum mods, so I'm thinking it has a pretty stock stance.

Click my avatar picture & it will full-size for you. Wheels are 5-bolt 8" Ralleys, and with the tires being slightly larger than stock, it rides on the metal of the fender cut-out just a little, & I had to bleed off about 5 psi of air pressure to be able to catch the lug stud. I also had to "tighten it on" a little with the lug nut, but it seems OK, otherwise.
If you need other photos of the bracket, or whatever, let me know & I can take them & email to you. Last edited by 68shortstep; 07-04-2005 at 06:11 PM. |
