Re: C Notches
No--that's exactly what I am putting in--could you take a couple more at different angles?? Thats perfect!!! Also, is it installed right between the cross bars. Mine is all torn down for alterations and not sure where to put in exactly.

Re: C Notches
Off topic question how low can you go before needing to notch the frame?

Re: C Notches
Most would perfer 3"between the axel and frame for travel. I am going to try running around with 2" to the bump stop and 3" to the frame. I currently has 4" to the frame and 3" to the bump stop. You can feel when you bottom out but I dont care. It's not often either. My truck is leaf so I would perfer to box the entire frame from hanger to hanger if I was to install a notch because of the stress that would be in the notched area. But my frame is Epoxy primed and gloss black. I have no plans to cut or box it.
For a coil truck all the stress is up front so boxing the entire rear of the frame is not necessary.
