Re: Let's see those engine bays..

My 69, just got done installing the new Holley Street Dominator DP intake , 670 SA Holley carb, new dual feed fuel line with pressure gauge and MSD HEI unit with new MSD 8.5mm wires. cant deciede if i am going to get a 4" filter for this air cleaner or a 4" filter for the 14" air cleaner i bought.
still needs washed up.

This is what it looked like before, not alot different but it has a much better set up on it now and runs out smoother and better. going to get a kit to dress up all the hoses as well.

We painted the firewall Blue Friday night, all the engine bay black yesterday, and installed the engine today. Can't wait to get it finished!

Re: Let's see those engine bays..

Here is my 72 Cheyenne. It is wrong in a lot of ways but I will take care of that. The blue will get replaced with the correct orange.

Lets hear it from the experts out there. Tell me what is wrong with this picture. I know the air cleaner set up is wrong. I have not checked the numbers but my guess is that the whole engine is from a later model truck. I don't think the alternator belongs on the passenger side either. I could be wrong on that but the truck has AC and I know the AC compressor mounts on the passenger side.

Let me have it. I want to know what it needs to be right. I have other photos if needed.

Thank you

Re: Let's see those engine bays..

For you guys with the flex hose on the top. A 79 Camaro V8 top radiator hose fits perfect.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
