Windshield rubber

Do you have to remove the windshield to replace the interior windshield rubber?

Re: Windshield rubber

Interior windshield rubber??? Not quite sure what you mean, but the windshield rubber is one piece and the whole thing will need to come out (windshield and rubber) to change it. When you order a new one there are two types to watch for, one has a slot for trucks that have chrome trim around the windshield and the other type has no slot and is for non-windshield trim trucks.

Re: Windshield rubber

Yes, the windshield rubber is all one piece, holds the glass to the frame.I recommend razor knife the inside lip off to remove the glass and dont touch the glass with any kind of prying tool or it will crack. The new rubbers are different if it has the chrome strip.
