1971 c10 stepside

My best friend may be joining the c10 family. He is the type of guy that has to always be working on something so he found a 71 stepside with no motor or tranny. The truck is about an hour south of miami and it is in very good condition no rust anywhere according to him. hopefully he will go buy it up within the next week or so. If he gets it I will take some picts for everyone to see.
He is not going to go all out like he did with his camaro nor his jeep he is planning on putting a 383 stroker, air ride, steel wheels or maybe billet wheels he is not sure yet.

Great looking truck, and camaro!

70-73 are tops for me, my first car was a 71 camaro, that I still wish I had, of course. I would trade my truck for one in a heartbeat.

Re: 1971 c10 stepside

Andy my friend enjoys building things rather than showing thme or even driving them he likes the feeling of accomplishment. We speak everyday in the phone and he is now teling me that he is going to put an LS engine in the truck air ride, leather interior I told him I thought you were going to go easy in this truck so much for that.

Cool Re: 1971 c10 stepside

From his Camaro build I can tell he will do us proud building the truck! He will like the truck even more than the camaro once he starts on it!

indeed he has built some serious vehicles over the years.

We have been texting and talking on the phone all day long today about his plans for the stepside.

I guess I will be the photographer and doing his build thread Great thing is that he lives less than two miles from me so it should be easy to keep track.

He works for Toyota as I do but at a different dealership....EVERYTHING is done by him in his garage not a shop but his house's garage...

He can do it al but paint is the only thing that is done outside his garage.

Re: 1971 c10 stepside

He has some major skills.

I'll find it hard to believe that his stepper doesn't turn out amazing since his other cars/trucks are done and done right the first time.

Cool Re: 1971 c10 stepside

You would think he had enough cash if he sold that Jeep. But I don't blame him for selling the camaro either now after seeing his garage. He wants plenty of room so no one hits his truck!
