These get broken from people that do not know that the factory sets these at around 20-22 mph and most that do not know this get these speed warnings and try to turn them down to zero and pop they get broken.

Re: WTB Speed Warning Gear & Sleeve - All You S/W Junkies Please Have a Look
Les this is a very awesome idea but remember that the lip on the main shaft gear keeps all of the other gears from falling out and if this is not setup and installed correctly with the right amount of play then you could loose the rest of your gear cluster. I am sure You know this Les but I am relaying this to the others that are watching or replying to this thread. Also I have been asked in the past about trying to run the repoped Camaro cable that are for sale on various sites. Do not try this approach, you may get it to work for awhile but the truck cable is a 9" cable and the Camaro cable and Vettes, Impala's are 11.5"-13" long and being that they are longer tend to put this gear in a bind and I have seen several people break this shaft trying to use these other adjustment cables.

Mel I am sure if Les made it then it is quality. I was just trying to let those that were viewing the tread know that if you do not know what you are doing then you can screw up a good speed warning.

Mel, I made those a couple of years ago. I will see what I can do to help you out. Those pieces are high dollar items!
