front end suspension question

I just got new springs and shocks to do a 3"-4" ON MY 71 LWB and was wondering if anyone can let me know if there is a huge ride difference between the drop spindles and the drop springs?
thanks guys.

Re: front end suspension question

Normally your ride will stay the same with drop spindles, as you will still have your full suspension movement. Dropped springs you will lose suspension movement and it normally becomes rougher stiffer. Not that the ride is bad, but it is definetly stiffer.

I prefer the dropped spindle method as our trucks have a great ride.

Re: front end suspension question

Also you should keep in mind that you will probably not get the full 3-4 drop. The original springs have usually sagged over the years.
