largest diameter/width with a 3/5 or 4/6 drop

Just wondering what the largest tire diameter and width available to fit under a shortbox 2wd with either a 3/5 or 4/6 drop. backspacing and pics would be nice. I'm half tempted to tub it for 12" rear's too.

Thanks!
Dave

Re: largest diameter/width with a 3/5 or 4/6 drop

I have 315/35/20s on mine with airbags and a small notch (stock bed floor) I tubbed the wheel wells, but I have a lot of room left. I'm running 20x10 wheels in the back (larger than 10" wide wheels, I was told, are REALLY expensive)

Re: largest diameter/width with a 3/5 or 4/6 drop

Hey there Coggonobrien,
I went with an Early classic drop of 4/5. The rims I have are Torque Thrust II's 18x8 4.5" back space 5x5 bolt pattern in the front and 20x10 5.5" back space in the rear. Tires are BFG G-Force KDW-2 255/45R18 in the front and 285/55R20 in the rear. In my opinion front tires are too small but BFG does not make a higher profile tire in the 255/R18. The rear is another story the tires were rubbing a bit on the inside so I put a 1/4" spacer to solve that problem. Also I only have about 1/4" clearance on the fender ahead of the rear tire. Rear tires look great but I wish I would have went with the 6" drop in the rear. I hope this helps.......Rick
