Does anyone offer Houndstooth for the blazer rear seat or is it a custom made deal? Thanks.

Made in the USA by truckworld,

NOW MY RANT

Some other vendors say they are the same materials as PUI but i disagree. Also great materials dont always make great products. PUI has zero quality controll these days, many times the dielectric heat sealing on the front is loose in some spots or inconsistant with sealed lines, send something back and they will send it back even more screwed up, try to put the guide wires in the upholstery and realize they forgot to sew in the channels, if it is there you will realize they no longer use the correct material in favor of a pressed fiber material that has no structeral integrity to probably save 2 cents. Also where their upholstery wraps under the bottom of the seat frame PUI no longer uses the heavy matting like stock they usually sew several pieces of leftover vinyl togeather to save a couple more cents, and for the end of my rant even something as simple as leaving the piping long enough to attach properly seems to be to difficult, i have spent a lot of time on the phone with PUI trying to understand why they have changed materials and dont follow all factory specs. I have even offered to send original covers to them on my dime but they insist they have the original upholstery and next time the problem will be solved. All in ALL this is not to say PUI upholstery cant be installed and look great i have used it for years but now only use them when i have to. IT IS THE SMALL DETAILS AND ATTENTION TO WORKMANSHIP THAT CREATE A GOOD PRODUCT AND THIS IS WHERE I SEE PUI DROPPING THE BALL. I INSTALL MOST OF THE UPHOLSTERY I SELL SO I KNOW FIRST HAND WHAT THE PRODUCTS LOOK LIKE ON THE INSIDE AND OUT AND WHAT WORKS WELL AND WHAT DOESN'T JUST MY HONEST OPINION.

thanks, chris

Re: Houndstooth upholstery sale.

Thanks for the info. Do you have any idea when you will order? I'd love to get mine, but money is a little tight at the moment. If you have any idea on a time frame, I will see what I can do. Thanks again.

Re: Houndstooth upholstery sale.

everyone who is interested and thinks they can have payment in by sept 20th let me know by friday morning or sooner. You will not recieve upholstery untill paid in full but i am willing to order your upholstery and keep it in stock if prople want. The more paid up front the better but i dont mind having the upholstery in the shop.

thanks, chris

Just a quick note to see if you sent off the black/white on black vinyl for the rear seat of a 71 blazer?

Re: Houndstooth upholstery sale.

I desperately need a new bench seat cover set for my 72 Cheyenne Super but I want it to be the same as the original colors. It is Parchment (or off white) vinyl with the black and white hounstooth inserts, or should I say was.
I always see black vinyl but that isnt what mine was. Any chance of getting the white or parchment vinyl?
Thanks for your help!
Tim

Re: Houndstooth upholstery sale.

i am interested in a set of bright blue with blue houndstooth centers, but I'm wondering which pattern was used on the originals (with or without scroll)? I have bucket seats.

without scroll is original the scroll was used only on the vinyl covers, with houndstooth they are custom and it is an extra 10 bucks per scroll insert.

thanks, chris
