We need that smily like on other forums that holds a sign pointing up to the previous post and says "I'm with stupid"

If you want to be different, do it some other way... paint your truck pink with a white leather interior. Seriously, there are a hundred other ways to make your truck look different from "everybody else."

i think that lambo style doors on our trucks would be a pain in the ass to use...you have to let it open all the way, get in, then close it...wouldnt that take a while?
since our truck doors are taller than wider, I don't think it would be a good idea.

Lambo = Lamborghini. Doors on exotic sports cars that flip up, instead of swinging out. Import guys are installing them on their cars, so that's why he said ricer.

The only problem I see with the idea,(fashion taste not being an issue as in the other posts) is I dont think the window rail would support the weight of the door without some kind of reinforcement or going with a fiberglass door.

I think the doors on trucks would be too tall and square to make it work that the door flips forward far enough to give enough space to get in/out.

Check out e-bay for lambo-conversions for Civics/Eclipses/VWs if you're wondering about the ricer comment.

Instead of going to Italy/cheesy ricer mods why not keep it American; Delorean doors baybee!!!

Lambo doors do not swing up and down using the window rail. Here is a link to something like them, yeah, it's definitely a ricey page.

Lambo door pics

Personally I don't think lambo doors would look all that nice on one of our trucks unless the truck was completely custom and had more of a sport truck look: on bags, big rims, bright colors and the such, and then only maybe.

Go suicide, a few guys on here are doing it but not enough to be just like every other truck. It will still stand out if you shave it and suicide it, IMO. That and I have heard that the doors using lambo-style hinges tend to really sag after a while, messing up alignment and paint. Especially with our heavy doors.

And come on guys, just give the guy some nice feedback He asked a question and I think that we can answer it without ragging on him for thinking "outside the box".

Let us know what you think you might be doing. I'm interested.

Has anyone actually SEEN one of these installed? From all of the pics, it looks like the doors only open about enough for an infant to slide in an out.

Pretty cool idea. I see autoloc sells a kit for them. I think our dors would be to heavy for it to work. I would also be interested to see what they look like installed and how much room it leaves for the driver and passenger to get in and out of the truck.
It would definately make a truck unique

I wouldn't do this on my truck but I would like to see it done. Couldn't someone photoshop one? Cudos on your idea and originality.
