help my 68 gmc wireing and vin code problem

i am tryin to restore a 1968 gmc pickup it is a half ton 2 wheel drive it has a 1969 camaro four bolt main 350 hp block with 10,000 miles on it when i bought it a turbo 400 with 12,000 miles on it and a dana spicer rear end with 18,000 my main problem apart from just tryin to save the body is i am tryin to decode the vin it has a letter where it should be a number CE10DP here it is with out the Sequential Number any help would be great also i am tryin to find out my revers lights the wires have been removed from the fire wall to the lights where did the wires come out of the fire wall?????

Since you are in Alaska is it possible this was a Canadien truck? I have
heard some peeps say on here that Canadien trucks had some weird lil
differences vs. American ones, no expert, just a thought to consider

never thought of that also i know is it spent most of its life in cali i know the orig owner he moved here in 93 i will try and ask him the only part that gets me is the d according to all sources i have found it is suppost to be a number there not a letter so i dont know i only know where it was made if the d isnt throwing of the charts i am going by
