Wood Outlasted Steel
It`s pretty interesting. When I flipped this bed up I was surprised to see a cross support had rotted away, yet the factory wood remains. The truck had a cap on forever. The original wood is well preserved. On the bed rails there is rust from years of trapped water. The truck was a`69 C/20 with only a Powerglide and gauges for options,as well as Special Paint...a light grey with dark red wheels. It sat for many years behind a building. It was a darn nice truck when it was parked, still original paint.I can tell it was sitting a long time from the way the water went to the same spots for so long.

Sweet pics...good old mother elements..
She needs a drink of oil. Nice bed though...make sure it goes to a good home. Not the government crusher
