20 year project

Thought I'd finally post some pic.'s
I got this truck at a city auction for $400 back in 1988. It had 15,000 original miles on it at the time.
It's a 69 C/20 w/ 350 4-speed & 4:56gears.

I originally planned to restore it but I have used it for play & hunting ever since. I had changed the bed, added a 4'' Rancho lift and 35'' Ground Hawgs w/ 12'' rims.

Now I am finally going to restore it!
Mechanicaly everything is now rebuilt or new. I have since added a 3'' body lift and new 40'' Ground Hawgs. I just finished swapping a disk brake front end into it.
I'll post a current pic. soon.

Nice truck. Was that a C20 originally, or a K20? (4X4)

C/20 is the model indicated by the badge in 69/70.Kinda confusing.I guess you could say it`s a K model C/20.Like the opposite:Calling a 1/2t Cheyenne a C/10.

Nice cop spot. Usually they're lower down on the A pillar. The template in the Unity instructions indicates a point about 4" up from the cowl line. The higher position would give you a better vantage point.

Re: 20 year project

I've seen many other 4x4's w/ the C/20 emblem, I've never seen a K/20emblem on a 67-72 4x4.
I have seen the K5/Blazer emblem.

It is confusing, especially for the kid behind the counter at the local parts store when I'm ordering parts!!!

Awesome truck! They never made any K20 or K10 badges, they used C20 or C10 badges with a 4 wheel drive emblem under the front sidemarker lights, just FYI.

This is true, but I have seen "K/10" fender badges on a 4x4 Suburban. They were obviously homemade, however, on a closer inspection.
