need a little help...were to cut a-pillar
things have finally settled down around here, and i have started working on the redbaron again i need to cut the a-pillar off so i can replace my footwell and a section of the floor. were do you guys make the cut? the a-pillar is nice and i will reuse it, that why im asking. dont want to make anymore work for myself. thanks in advance

If the A pillar is nice and doesn't need replacing then i wouldn't cut it at all. You can replace the floor pan and kicker panel without removing any of the A pillar. mine was shot so i cut it completely off on one side and realized my mistake when it came to the door hinge nut plate. I learned from experience to cut around that nut plate on the other side if at all possible.

Check out our 71 combined effort build...post #61....if you look back on the 1st page you can see ours was rusted out pretty bad though

bcutt, the hinge plate is what was worring me. i can see the spot welds for it and sure dont want to cut them. maybe im just being lazy sure looks like it would be easier getting in there without it in the way. both a pillars and all the floor supports are super clean, just rot in the kick panel and were it meets the floor.
