I just watched it again.....first he says its been hidden away since 1965 and the paperwork says 1971? Lookin' at the rest of the engine its not a 292....side covers and missing cooling bypass to the thermostat housing. I'm using Matt67C10's pics to compare. Its a 230 or 250.
I like the way he ran the wires under the distributor...very clean! |

I don't know. When I paint a motor, I'll usually throw in some old spark plugs and tape off the intakes and exhaust ports.
He must not have got the memo that yes, headers for a 250 are the same as a 292, even though he has a 250.

Is it really a 292, the side covers look like a 250 to me, but again I'm old and blind.
