How is the roof in it? And where in oregon are you? If you do cut it up can you save me the roof? My cab is starting to rust through in the front and sides edges.

The roof is in good shape. There's some rust in the windshield channel. Im right over the bridge from vancouver.

Are you in a hurry to have it moved? or is sometime in the next few weeks fast enough? Think i'll take it either way, just got to arrange for transport.

I was wondering how you got the cab of because in the backround it looked like you had an engine hoist? Just wondering cause i am down to frame and cab and need to know how you got the cab of.

Yes I used the hoist. I put it in the cab and put a board between the headliner and the hoist arm. You have to put the hoist arm as close as possible to the front windshield to get a perfect balance.

Yes, I'll take it. Still working out the schedule. I'm only a couple hours away. Have a family reunion this weekend. That's the main thing holding things up. I'll PM you for address, and see if we can arrange a pickup time. How high can you lift it with that hoist? Onto a flatbed or maybe just a trailer? If not i'll arrange to have a couple guys help too. Gotta figure out if it would be easier to load on to dad's 66 flatbed or borrow a car trailer.

I can lift it pretty high. High enough to get it in the back of a truck with 38inch tires on it.

Thanks for the info 1tonswb. Also did it do any damage to the cab in side were the hoist lifted?

On this one I didnt care and it did put some scratches in it. On the cab I put on I used a board and it didnt even rip the headliner. Ive used the same method for years with no scratches or dents. Hope that helps.

I do it the same way, with a slight difference. I run a 4x4 across the cab and lift under the door openings. Same as 1ton said, as close to the windshield as possible to get a good balance.
