Brake Hose Question

I'm working on my son's truck, and the front brake hoses furnished with the McGaughys "Big Brake" Kit seem too be about an inch short to reach the caliper. Dumb question, but does the hose run on top of the upper control arm or underneath? Here is a photo for reference.

Thanks,
POP

Re: Brake Hose Question

71-72 trucks (with discs) ran the brake lines on the front of the cross member and the crossmember had a support bracket for the hoses where they connected with the lines. Attached is a picture of the 71-72 crossmember showing one of the brackets where the hose was supported as it was to be connected to the line.
