eaton HO72 question
will any 14 bolt parts other than the spider gears, work in a eaton ho72? my wrecker has some seriously bad backlash, and i know its going to need a ring and pinion

Does it have a Detroit Locker in there? If so, the "backlash" is normal.

i,ve got a nice ho72 drw complete rear. 67,220 original miles and i,am only 6 hrs from you. 4.10 gears

i dont know for sure on the locker, but by bad i mean 1/4" turn of the driveshaft at least.
bob-- i may be interested in that, let me get the cover off this one and see just how bad it is and ill let you know

That is normal for a DL. Does it have option G80 on the sticker?

oh wow, wouldnt have guessed that
dunno on the option, sticker is gone. i guess i should jack up the rear or take the cover off and see whats going on |
