Smile After 4 years ........PAINT!

After working on my truck for 4 years, and driving it daily for most of that time, I've finally gotten some of the body and paint work finished. The beds not done yet, but from the picture you can see that the rest of the truck is painted and re-assembled. I really got tired of the faded blue+3 colors of primer, that everyone had to look at for all those years. Just wanted to let some of you guys know that it's worth all the waiting and hard work.

Picture?

Hopefully, I'll get the picture attached this time. By the way, I did my own body work, and painted it myself.

Hoping to have the bed finished in the next 2 or 3 weeks. I'll post another picture when I get the bed back on.

That's going to be a nice looking truck when completed. What color yellow is that? In 72 they used a light yellow referred to as "Gratefruit yellow". Is that it?

I wanted to use a light yellow color, instead of something overly bright, and none of the stock GM colors suited my taste. So, I went with a '68 Mopar color called Sunfire Yellow. Since I knew I would be painting the cab interior, and the inside of all the front end parts, I sort of had a blank slate. But I was going for somewhat of a "vintage" look, so I wanted a color that was at least period-correct. I'm very pleased with my color selection.

Question on that steering wheel. What brand is it and what mounting kit did you use. I've got a grant 13" wheel on my truck right now and I've been looking at a wheel like that with the bowtie in the horn button. Will it work with the grant horn/install kit? Thanks
