Door panel conversion question
I am ready to instal my new door panesl and noticed the passenger side doo actually has some clip that held the screws. My question is..do I just drill these out or what? I also have two where the clips are missing and now the holes are too big for the plastic clips on the back side of the door panel. Any ideas on how to fix these??

Re: Door panel conversion question
Go to autozone to the help section get yourself the nylon license plate square clips or equalivant to use in your door panels.

Re: Door panel conversion question
Those square holes take cage nuts. WES sells them.

Re: Door panel conversion question
If you have a big electronics store nearby, you might be able to pick them up there, too. I found that some old Compaq server racks used identical cage nuts. Newer Dell racks use similar ones, but the threads are metric....

Re: Door panel conversion question
Something to keep in mind when you are working on "vintage or classic" vehicles you are way ahead of the game if you search out vendors that actually "build" as opposed to just "marketing" parts, reason being they have learned what does and dosnt work or fit. Most all the vendors on this site do just that! And I can tell you Wess knows what hes talkin bout! And his trucks attest to that.
