rear coil to leaf

my blue c10 is back in black and on the road so its time to get this 71 2500 gmc done for winter ride. the trailing arms are beyond repair and i hate to spend 600.00 for new. does anyone have some pics of this coil to leaf conversion and era they used. i am sticking with the stock 4 speed and dana 60 rear. and my second question is i may go up to canfield next week to look for trailing arms and i wanted to no if the c10 and c2500 where the same other than some extra reinforcement. thanks for any info.

Re: rear coil to leaf

thanks for all the help. ended finding trailing arms on wtb craigslist. 60 miles south of me. what a find the guy had two buildings full of c10 parts doors, fenders, beds, trim, lenses, handles you name it. i even ended up buying a rust free 8 foot bed for 300.00. it was like going to a c10 flee market. still have to go back and pick up tailgate and some 8 lug 16 inch wheels. he had a stack of tailgates. trailing arms and nice blue bowtie for my grill for 60.00. i told him about this place, said he was going to check it out. try to get pics of my 72 c10 build this weekend.

Sounds like "It's all good!" Wish I could find a parts place like that for the vehicles I have. My 98 could use a bit of love.

Re: rear coil to leaf

Used arms was going to be my suggestion. WAY more parts/effort were going to be required for leaf conversion. Glad you found a relatively easy solution.
