bad U-Joint and slip yoke clunk in 1980 Stepside
Hello,
today my u-joint started making an awfull noise while driving and at shifting from R to D it makes a loud "CLUNK" now. So I have to replace the bad u-joint... so far no problem, but my question is: I have got a 2WD with a rebuild TH350 in it. Should I grease the slip yoke before reassembly or is it a NoGo to use another grease except of a few drops of ATF? Thanks in advance |

yes would be good to. General Motors GM Fluid 19257121, or Valvoline SynPower Synthetic Automotive Grease- VV986,or any of your choice that has..high-quality lubricant contains PTFE Multipurpose grease, which is also non-melting.
